The Bengals are a first year SAFL team led by brothers Abir Rahman and Omar Rahman. The team consists of all SAFL rookies with the exception of Abir who played for the 9-1 Bandits in 2012. Abir made a splash into the league when he ended his season with 15 TDs in the final 3 games for the Bandits as a wide receiver.
The Bengals consist of a group of players that were initially going to join forces with the Bandits but at the last minute decided to create their own squad and generate even more competition within the SAFL. The team is showcasing a 3 headed (tall) monster at the WR position with the likes of Christopher DeFlorio, Omar Rahman and Jason Gregory. Defensively the Bengals look forward to unleashing their D-line/LBs: Sohel Hossain and Nabil Khan.
The team will be boasting a strong combination of HS, Collegiate and intramural talent; winning however, will be a matter of whether they can put all together with such little experience playing with one another
