A team that came in with a lot of question marks before the season began has made it to the Semi-Finals. A roster that wasn't fully assembled until the day before opening day. Finally they got on the field vs. Empire for the very first time.
It all came to fruition for Cap Moe Bagawala and Co. as they mercy ruled an Empire team that was expected to be elite all year. They got strong play from Omar and Tehreem, good friends of Maaz. Then Cap. Moe brought in old friend Waqas C. who was able to recruit Samir and Ali. These players have all payed huge dividends throughout the season. They have gotten very consistent performances from Tehreem and Waqas on both ends of the field. They are the leading recievers on the team. Samir has been the best overall play maker with his explosive moves and fiery personality. Muzz was another good receiver they acquired from the get go, though he has been hampered with a nagging knee injury.
Omar Khan is one of their fastest players and can play both ends. He has made some huge catches that has helped them win this season. Faiq and Saif have been key defensive players. and Zain is another piece of the team that plugs up the defensive line and gives Mo a steady hand when he decides to check down. The final pieces of the puzzle were added in young speedster Alex, perhaps their fastest player and Ali S. Though Alex is a very raw talenton the offensive end he can definitely make an impact with his speed. Ali is an all out player who can play and come up with some of the most spectacular catches you will see for this team.
They did face some adversity when they lost a key player in Farhan to season ending shoulder surgery. He was on a tear before the unfortunate accident where he still managed to catch a TD while having his shoulder pop out. We hope he makes a full recovery by next season. Also losing their captain for Hajj was a tough break, but they still managed to come out at .500 during that stretch. We also cannot forget Maaz who's key catches during the first round of the playoffs helped secure a Semi-Final spot for them. |
