Predictions Week 4

GAME OF THE WEEK

Decepticons vs Stop N Go

Deceptions have put the league on notice as they have started off 3-0. Not much was known about them, which some say helped because unless other teams scouted them, they weren't
exactly sure what they had. They won shootouts, and defensive battles. The sign of a great team is being able to win in many different ways. They don’t have one dominating player, but they have a bunch of solid players, making them hard to defend on offense and they have great chemistry on defense as well.

Stop N Go definitely isn’t the same team that was going into the playoffs clicking on all cylinders. There offense has been sporadic and their defense isn’t quite in tune as well. Never the less they are still 3-0, which is a testament to their captains and their deep roster. Suleman is making a case for early season MVP as he is just tearing up the league on both sides of the ball.

Prediction:This is going to be a back and forth game, as both teams are used to this season. It’s the new young guns in town vs the seasonsed veterans. There is something to be said about the guile of a team such as Stop N Go. This game can really go either way, with one or two plays making the difference. The difference may be the QB play. Hector and his receivers haven’t been on the same page, and mixing in another QB in Talha doesn’t help that chemistry. Decepticons have a good QB in Moe who won’t force the ball.

Slumdogs vs Savages

The new look Slumdogs have plenty of bite, as their offense is quite explosive (most points in the league with 117). The additions of Pawan, Rishi, Binny and Ryan have made this team very hard to cover across the field. Their defense isn’t too shabby either especially when Jobin George is patrolling the back end of the defense. Jobin is one of the top if not top defensive players, but his progression on offense has made him an early MVP candidate. We can’t forget about the great QB play of Mike who with more offensive weapons is flourishing.

Savages had a lot of hype going into the season as they added MVP Anwar Sadat and defensive player of the year Hashim Naveed. Unfortunately there has been some controversy over the QB position and their fast physical defense isn’t playing up to their capability thus far. They certainly have the players to get the job done, but they lacking consistency in all phases of the game right now. They are playing some good football, but are having a hard time playing well for 2 full halves.

Prediction: Slumdogs are clicking on all cylinders on offense and are a confident bunch. Savages are reeling right now and are looking to rebound, which is no easy task this week. Both teams have great safeties so the team that doesn’t force the ball down the field, will win this game. Right now the Slumdogs offense is clicking and are going to be hard to stop, but the Savages can keep the game close with their defense

Desert Eagles vs Warriors

Desert Eagles haven’t been able to muster up much this season. They at least were able to improve their offensive output last week scoring 14 points, but with poor QB play, it’s very hard to win. They do have some talented players and if they can have a good defensive game plan they can keep the games close, then anything can happen.

Warriors have been a bit unfortunate as they have played some good football, but have nothing to show for it. After a 1 point loss to open the season and a touchdown loss the following week, they were outplayed quite handily last week. Warriors have a good QB in Aldo, but it seems like there aren’t on the same page as of yet. Their defense is good as they have a lot of speed to make their opponents work to move the ball.

Prediction:It looks like this is the breakout that the Warriors are looking for. The Desert Eagles will try to frustrate Aldo into forcing some passes, but in the end the matchup of the Warriors defense vs Desert Eagles offense will decide this game.  This game will not be a total pushover, even though the final score may reflect that.

Empire vs Bandits:

Empire has been on a roller coaster ride this year. To open the season they were expected to be a top tier team and but got beat handily by Decepticons, then followed that up with a convincing shutout. Last week missing some of their key players, they were in a back and forth game with the winless Chargers and fell to 1-2. They have added some new weapons on both sides of the ball, but the chemistry is clearly lacking, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Unless they can straighten that out, it doesn’t matter how good the QB and receivers are.

Bandits are undefeated this year, the exact opposite of last season as they were winless are this point last season. Burhan has done a great job of getting some excellent talent as Jawid makes this offense very dangerous and Nadir is a beast as he leads the league in catches and is a presence on defense as well. Bandits are playing their brand of physical man to man defense, which is very disruptive at times.

PredictionLast year these teams had quite the rivalry as Empire beat them good in the regular season, but in the post season they played a tight game, which the Bandits were able to pull out. That playoff game got quite chippy as emotions were running high in the playoffs. The Bandits have upgraded with a great receiver and a great dual threat QB. Empire has added some good receivers in Roden and Kunal but their chemistry is severly lacking at this point. This will be a back and forth game early, but some big plays by the Bandits will blow the game open and playing catching up will be tough for Empire

Chargers vs Those Ravens

Chargers are a different team than last year as they have found a good QB in PJ McKenna and have a ton of more firepower with Sajeel, Nadeem and Bobby. They outplayed Empire last week, which was a huge confidence boost for them. Even though they are 1-2, they have played well this season taking Stop N Go to the brink the previous week. It seems like they are ready to take the next step this season

Those Ravens shows flashes of some real good football, but their lack of depth is starting to catch up with them. Those Ravens have added a couple of players, but it remains to be seen how their lack of depth will affect them. They have some real good athlthes in David, Majid, Omaid and Stephen that can change the course of the game.

Prediction:
This is going to be a very close game as both teams have a similar amount of talent, but it looks like the Chargers are all on the same page and will be able to pull this game out in the end. Those Ravens will have some huge plays in the passing game, but with the longer games, they will begin to tire late in the 2nd half, and lose a close game
