Predictions Week 3

Stop N Go vs Those Ravens

Stop N Go looked very sluggish and disinterested out there last week against the Chargers who were minus their starting QB. Their offense definitely isn't clicking and there defense looks more vulnerable than it did during their playoff run. With softball season over, expect them to put their full attention to football, which is bad for the rest of the league

Those Ravens got a big blow as they lost 4 players due to scheduling issues., leaving them with only 6 players last week, leading to a total defensive collapse. On the bright side, they were still able to score 28 points on a very stingy Slumdogs defense, so they got some play makers on that side of the ball. It will be interesting to see if Those Ravens can make some pickups to help their depth. They looked great in week 1, terrible in week 2. Its safe to say there are somewhere in between, and this will be a good barometer to see how they stack up against the best of the best

Prediction: Stop N Go will be in full force and look to get everything in order. Those Ravens have some play makers so expect them to make some big plays and put up some points. Stop N Go depth will eventually just wear them out and don’t be surprised if Stop N Go even scores a defensive TD in this game

Warriors vs Slumdogs

Warriors have played 2 very tough games and unfortunately have no wins to show for it. They are showing that they are on the doorstep of becoming a good team in this league. Aldo needs a couple more guys to make some plays and Aldo has to be careful not to force the ball into tight coverage. They have athletes who are effective on defense making it hard on the opposition.

Slumdogs were known as a defensive team, but the vast improvement of Jobin and the additions of players such as Pawan, Binny, and Ryan they have some serious firepower as they scored 58 points last week. They are dangerous as any team and are only going to be stingier on defense and only get better on offense .

Prediction: Warriors are looking to get into the win column, but they are running into some stiff competition in the Slumdogs. Expect this to be another close games as the Warriors are no slouches but with the Slumdogs new firepower, expect them to get a lead and hold it, but with a QB with the arm strength like Aldo has he can beat any defense

Desert Eagles vs Bandits

Desert Eagles are the talk of the league, but that’s for their cool looking jerseys as opposed to their play on the field. Unfortunately they ran into a buzzsaw in Empire who was angry and they put it on them as they had trouble completing passes. Their defense needs work as Chris was able to carve them up. They have some good receivers but just need a guy to run the show, if that guy is on the roster, that remains to be seen.

Bandits started off very sluggish last week taking multiple punches, before fighting back in an epic game with the Savages. Their defense hasn't looked like many expected it to, but their great upgrade in offense is making up for it.  With Jawad running the helm, they have plenty of explosion at the QB spot as well as many new offensive targets such as Nadir Almakay who is taking the SAFL by storm.

Prediction: This seems like a total mismatch on paper, it will be interesting to see how the Desert Eagles respond after getting totally outplayed last week, expect no surprises here

Savages vs Decepticons

Savages played an epic game last week as they were dominating in the first half, but they took their foot off the pedal and gave up an astonishing 34 points after halftime. With 2 great safeties that can’t happen, and we expect that they will get that in order. Savages showed they have plenty of firepower on the offensive side lead by Hashim.

Decepticons surprised everyone week 1 dismantling Empire in week 1. They showed that they weren't a fluke as they followed that up with a hard fought battle with the Warriors. It’s a great sign that they showed they can win multiple ways, a shootout or a defensive game. They have some big physical receivers and play a physical brand of defense as well.

Prediction: Don’t expect the Savages to be allowing that many points at any point this season, especially the week after what transpired last week. It will be interesting to see how Anwar being out will affect their offense as they were like a well oiled machine.  For Decepticons this is a huge litmus test to show how they stack up against a top 3 team. Its going to be physical and its going to come down to the end.

Chargers vs Empire

Chargers looked bad in week 1 as they were shutout. They responded very well, without their starting QB in week 2 as Razi took over the helm. He isn't going to wow anyone with his arm, but having a QB with some guts, guile and a high football IQ can be effective. The trio of Bobby, Sajeel and Nadeem is as good as any trio in the league and their defense continued to do well as they held a potent Stop N Go offense to 28 points

Empire this season is Jekyll and Hyde. They were embarrassed in week 1 as they allowed 48 points, and they followed up that performance by shutting down the Eagles, allowing only 2 first downs the entire game. They displayed their deep roster as Chris was in pro bowl form having more TD passes than incompletions. Their defense looked angry and having Aun back definitely helped in their defense position and discipline

Prediction: This is definitely going to be a lot closer than people think. With Razi playing against his Empire softball teammates, he will try to get into their heads and frustrate them. With PJ’s big arm and his ability to stretch the field, expect them to put up some points, but in a shootout Empire has more weapons and will eventually prevail
