Power Rankings Week 3
1. Spartans- The boys of Sparta continue to sit on top of the PR throne as they are one of 2 teams to be undefeated. They just might have been involved in the game of the year and they came out victorious in the end which shows that this team can arise during adversity and can win the tight games. This team seems to have it working for them in all cylinders. It was evident because they had guys missing or injured yet did their thing. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
2. Empire- Empire is the only other team in the league that is undefeated. Their QB tandem of Chris and Dipan just might be ranked #1 soon with the amount of TD's they've been scoring. And in addition to that they have a leading early season MVP candidate in that Dipan Patel with his receiving as well. This team just looks and sounds scary and everyone seems to be on the same page, def. heading in the right direction.
3. Savages- They probably just felt the biggest heartbreak of the season, and if it wasn't for 1 point loss they would have been atop the PR this week and feeling great about themselves. Big Z is very diverse in his throws and running ability and this might be big in the long run. The real question is who has more weapons them or Spartans? Maybe we will find out in a future match up as they square off again later down the road.
4. Stop n GO- After coming into the season with very high expectations and a rank of pre-season no 1, this team put in some work! The opposing QB sure did help them, but hey they proved to everyone they are the real deal and they are getting adjusted to the league rules. As the team meshes more and more they will be a running train soon. Look for them to continue their winning ways in the coming weeks but they have a tough road next two weeks with Wolfpack and Spartans on deck.
5. Wolfpack- This team seems like a very balanced team. They seem to have a lot of the pieces for a championship season, all they need is fluency and they will be good for the rest of the season. Their aggressive plays catches many eyes and might intimidate others as well. They caught a really nice win this past week and broke the hearts of the Bandits. Look for them to make a statement to the league that they have arrived in a statement win this week against their rival Stop N Go.
6. Slumdogs- They seem to like playing 1 half, but just a reminder there are two half's in this league. But hey they def. looked sharp in that first half, maybe a couple red bulls should do the job to get them going the whole game. This team will hit you dead in the face when you least expect it so watch out folks. They got some solid players but to be elite they ll need to step up their game or be stuck with mediocrity.
7. Believers- The Believers looked good for a few plays but that's really all they looked for this past week as they got stepped all over by Stop and Go. But the plays they did make were pretty good, so they are not as bad as they seemed this past week. Know that they have a good amount of talent and a lot of heart. However they dont seem capable of rising in these rankings anytime this year.
8. No Games No Gimmicks- after looking like the worst team in the league week 1, they seemed much better weeks 2. The new guys need to click n get to know the offense, and they need some work on defense, but after a few weeks look for them to be a posing threat. What they lack in chemistry thus far, they make it up with some very good atheletes and the arrow for them is pointing up.
9. Bandits- this team has no wins, but both were heartbreaking losses. The only thing about these losses is maybe these are hard to overcome and might leave a rippled effect. But hopefully they can recover quick and give some teams a few heartbreaks of their win. This is a team with speed and talent so watch out league. They couldve very easily been 2-0.
10. Outlaws- Well this team looked superb in the first 10 minutes of the game with 2 quick touchdowns, and after that looked like they lost their hype and will to win. Their QB did a pretty fine job finding his guys in the right spots. With a little more organization this team should be on the right track soon. Don't doubt these guys, just watch and wait.
