Power Rankings Week 5

1. Stop N Go (4-0)

Last week #2 – Up one spot.

Regained their place a top the Power Rankings. They put up a stellar performance against the Decepticons who were undefeated. By mercy ruling a team who was supposed to be among the elite in this league, Stop n Go showed that few belong in the same class. Talha had another solid game at QB, getting the ball around to multiple receivers. Suleman had another 2 interceptions, making his case for early MVP candidate.

2. Slumdogs (3-1)

Last week # 4 – up 2 spots

Another week another mercy win. 3 weeks in a row they have mercied their opponents. This time against another team who were supposed to be among the elite, the Savages. Jobin has been on an absolute tear this season. Unlike last year he’s doing it on the offensive side as well. Jobin already has more TDs this year than all of last year. Like Suleman he too is making a case for early MVP candidate.

3. Bandits (3-0-1)

Last week # 1 – down 2 spots

Win a game and drop down two spots?? That’s what happens when the teams above you mercy their opponents and you squeak by a depleted Empire roster. But, a win is a win and Bandits can go into next week very confident as they are one of two teams that remain undefeated.

4. Decepticons (3-1)

Last week # 3 – down 1 spot

After 3 straight wins against some quality teams many people thought the Decepticons were the real deal. Then they met up with Stop N Go and just couldn’t keep up. We will chalk this defeat up as just a bad game by all players. A loss like that can be a good thing. Giving the Decepts an idea of their shortcomings and working on those will go a long way. We expect the Decipticons to come out strong next weekend and take care of business.

5. Chargers (2-2)

Last week # 6 – up 1 spot

Back to back wins, things are looking good for the Chargers. They easily took apart a weak team. Sajeel had an excellent game with 3TDs. Razi did a good job at QB. They have been looking very good past two weeks. But, their last 2 wins have been against some of the bottom dwellers. They have a big test this coming Saturday against the undefeated Bandits. A win here and we can say safely say Chargers are among the best teams. A loss and they will be left in the middle of the pack.

6. Savages (1-2-1)

Last week # 5 – down 1 spot

What happened? Another QB? Offense has struggled, defense has struggled. Nothing seems to be going the Savages way. They have some of the best players in the league and just can’t seem to put it together. Another loss, which is expected as they are playing Stop N go, and this team will need to go back to the drawing boards.

7. Warriors (1-3)

Last week # 7 – unchanged

Warriors get their first win. But, against a very weak DE team. We can’t take much out of this game other than the fact that DE definitely needs a lot of help. Warriors played loose this past weekend and it showed in the confidence of the players. They will need to keep it up if they expect to win more game. Have a big game Saturday against a struggling Empire team. Possible GOW.

8. Empire (1-3)

Last week # 8 – unchanged

Another close loss. Showed signs of good play, but at the end just couldn’t pull it off. Attendance has been a big issue, not with the amount of people showing up but who shows up. They need some consistency in their lineup if they want to get better. They need to win these next two weeks, because their last 3 games are against Stop n Go, Slumdogs and Savages.

9. Those Ravens (1-3)

Last week # 9 – unchanged

They have not looked good at all this season. With another mercy loss they put themselves at the bottom of the PR. They don’t look to be in sync at all. Perhaps a few practices may be needed?

10. Desert Eagles

Last week # 10 – unchanged

We expected a better fight from DE this past weekend. They let the Warriors steam roll through them. QB play has been atrocious thus far. Adam has been a great captain in the past in other leagues and needs to be on here as well. He needs to be more vocal and hold players accountable for poor play. Progress can be made and we still expect good things from this team. But, Adam has to be the one to make those necessary changes.
