The Buzz Week 2

- Week 1 of the 2012 SAFL was a success. We saw some solid competition from across the league.

- Surprise surprise Stop n Go has another win under their belt. If anyone is counting that is 8 straight wins continuing on from last season. Kunal, Farhan, Usman, Suleman the list go's on and on. They have, speed, talent, a high football IQ and depth. Don't see this train stopping anytime soon.

- There has been some feedback on the new refs some positive and some negative the league might decide to stay with these refs for the time being.

- Mike Chu and Jobin George are the anchors of the Slumdogs and after a tough loss to Stop n Go in the last second let's see if the rest of the team can step up their game and give these guys some support for the rest of the season.

- The Blitz rule has been under some scrutiny from players and captains. There is talk about the blitz getting tweaked for week 2.

- Savages put up 50 points against the Chargers. That's amazing considering that the MVP from last year Anwar Sadat didn't even play QB. Savages are a serious team after the merge with the Spartans.

-Speaking of the Chargers, What happened?? There was a lot of promise for this team this season. The Chargers, formally The Believers, had a captain change, added some new players and dropped a few players but they still let up 50 against the Savages. The Chargers really need to put that one behind them and step up their game for this Saturday.

-The Bandits had some nice off-season pick ups and it really paid off big time for them. Nadir Almakay is a superstar in the making, Jawed Sarwar is already looking All-star form and Abir Rahman is really taking command of the defense. Combine them with the talents of Harvey, Marc and Sakib and you are looking at a very competitive roster. They had a tough win against the Warriors and they know that teams are gunning for them. Lets see how they respond.

- Longer games and a longer field, what could be better??

-Dessert Eagles had a lot of new faces on the team and almost no chemistry most likely due to the fact that they put together the team last week. We are confident that with the leadership that Adam brings he will bring his team up to speed and have them ready to play this Saturday.

-There is talk about expanding the rosters to 14 permanently with 12 active per week. Any team that wants to have more than 12 players will have to pay an extra $80 to the league.

- Decepticons really put on a show this past week against Empire. We don't know if it was rust or a lack of attendance or practice but the way that Empire played it seemed that they were not ready for the Decepticons.

-The Decepticons look like the hungriest team in the SAFL right now. If they play with the same intensity all season then look for them to make a case for a playoff berth and even a championship run.

- It has been said many times. Aldo may be the best QB in the SAFL right now. His passes are dead on. Short or deep he is a threat on every play. The Warriors had a tough loss against the Bandits losing by only one point. They are looking to bounce back and do some serious damage.
