Stop N Go vs Chargers
Stop N Go looked unstoppable in the first half of last weeks game and put it on cruise control. They might want to get rid of that cruise control button because they were making a ton of uncharacteristic mistakes with the aid of great plays by Slumdogs. Stop N Go will look to play a complete game this week.
Chargers with new faces in PJ, Bobby (bones) Bonett and Nadeem are looking to chance their fortune of the Chargers, but it didn’t look good last week. Their defense wasn’t too bad, but after so many turnovers and short fields they couldn’t keep up with the Savages. With another week under their belt, they are looking to get some chemistry going as they certainly do have some talent
Stop N Go should dominate this game as long as they don’t go on cruise control. Its hard seeing them do that after last weeks scare. The Chargers will play better overall, but it’s the big plays that will do them in
Prediction: Stop N Go 40 Chargers 13
Desert Eagles vs Empire
Desert Eagles were just able to field a team a couple of days prior and their lack of chemistry showed on the field. Adam is a good leader and has some talented players lead by Zeeshan and Mino. Their QB situation is very dynamic right now as they tried a bunch of different people with minimal results. Their defense looked confused at times as they let receivers run uncovered. With some more time together and a better game plan they should make this interesting.
Empire started off fast last week strong forcing a 3 and out
and scoring a TD to take an early lead. It all went down hill from there, as
their offense was able to move the ball in spurts but were plagued by drops.
Empire’s defense just disappeared as the lack of continuity on that side of the
ball really hurt them. They blew multiple coverage assignments as the
Decepticons tore their defense to shreds. Empire with a revamped roster
definitely looked like they never have played with each other before. Empire is looking to rebound after getting embarrassed
last week and breaking in some new players
Prediction:
On paper Empire is clearly the better team, but that doesn’t mean anything. Both teams have major defensive issues that need to be corrected. The difference here will be the QB as Chris is a pro bowler while the Eagles are going QB by committee. Also helps that Empire has one of the top receivers in Atif, not good news for the Desert Eagles’s defense.
Prediction: Empire 33 Eagles 14

GAME OF THE WEEK
Bandits vs Savages
Bandits were matched up against the Warriors, lead by Aldo who gave them all they could handle. Just like last season they relied on their excellent defense as they looked rusty on offense, especially breaking in a new but very talented QB in Jawid. They just stacked more athletes on the roster and as times goes on and they gain some chemistry on offense they will be very tough to beat
Savages played the new look Chargers and like savages do, showed no mercy. With l2011 league MVP Anwar being the backup QB, they were efficient on offense with the short fields they got via their defense. With the reigning defensive player of the year in Hashim at safety, they couldn’t complete many passes deep
Prediction:
This game is going to be VERY physical and its going to get chippy. Both teams have a bunch of athletes that make their name on the defensive side of the ball. Touchdowns, and even first downs will be hard to come by. This is going to be a back and forth game and will come down to the very end. The X-factor could be Jawid’s scrambling ability
Prediction: Bandits 19 Savages 18

Warriors vs Decepticons
Warriors lead by Aldo played a very tough game against the Bandits. They struggled at times moving the ball, but that’s expected against a stingy Bandits defense. Their defense looked good as they didn’t give up many big plays and just fell short. The Warriors are looking to build from last weeks loss and get their first win
Decepticons started off slow last week, but then they blew
out Empire. It was quite apparent that they have been playing with each other
for years as they were crisp on offense. Their defense did a good job against a
potent Empire offense. They showed they
are a title contender and are looking to start 2-0.
This is going to be another real close game. Aldo is a very
hard QB to defend as he can throw guys open and fit the ball into very tight
windows. The Decepticons are very organized with a vast playbook that had
Empire baffled. This is going to be a shootout, which will come down to the end
Prediction: Decepticons 33 Warriors 28
Who?... Those Ravens. They made quite the splash as they put
up a 50 spot, albeit vs a team that was leaving a guy uncovered half the game.
There defense looked airtight as they had some guys putting some moves on in
the open field. It’s hard to gauge how they will look against a good team, but
they definitely have some playmakers on both sides of the ball
This game will be closer than people expect. The Slumdogs
have been known to sleepwalk for a while before getting it going. Those Ravens
are a confident bunch and its amazing what a little confidence can do. In the
end after seeing what they got, the Slumdogs should be able to use their good
defense to contain them in route to a win
Prediction: Slumdogs 27 Those Ravens 19
