Season 2 Starting End of September

South Asian Sports Network is proud to announce the second season of the South Asian Football League.

As you know in the inaugural season we had 10 teams. Well due to an overwhelming response we are expanding.....

Currently looking at 12 teams. We may increase if need be depending on the teams and how reliable you are.

First preference will be given to all the teams from last year. After that we are opening it up to our league members, and then lastly to newcomers!

So for those that are interested in bringing back their team. Their deadline is August 17th to finalize and to put in a $250 deposit. We are still working out the league fees based on the fields etc..

Each team must buy uniforms for their first year from the league. You have a choice between three uniform styles.

Basic - dry-fit T shirt with your team name up front, and a # on the back.

Intermediate - A basic jersey with your team name on the front and a # on the back.

Pro - real football jersey, stitched to resist ripping, team name on the front and logo on the front, # on the back and player name on the back.

2 teams went with Pro last year all the others went with Basic.  Returning teams can keep their uniforms. All teams that are changing the team name or bringing in a new team. You have to buy jerseys.

In addition every team has to be involved in the league. We want you to designate three people who are going to be involved. Those three people are going to be the following

Captain - handles in game stuff.
Co Captain - fills in for both positions when the other person is not around.
GM - handles all the league responsibilities / stats / features for the web site etc..

If you are too busy and can't contribute to the league, no worries let us know. This way we can bring in another team. There are teams that are going to be on the waiting list to get in. So if you can't pull your fair share.
