Predictions Week 2
We were 1-4 last week in Predictions. Only matchup we predicted correct was the Spartans vs NGNG game. Absolutely terrible! Outlaws, Bandits, Stop N Go, and Wolfpack all made us look like fools. Hopefully this week my crystal ball is a little clearer.
Matchup 1--No Games No Gimmicks vs Outlaws
The Toilet Bowl anyone? I highly doubt that. Outlaws were seen practicing for a loooong time after their debacle of a loss against Slumdogs where QB Mike ruthlessly picked their defense apart. Having QB Jeremy for a full game and a full week of practice should definitely help. NGNG also come off of a blowout loss to Spartans. Rumors have them adding couple of superstars to help turn things around. if they got a QB that can get Khuram the ball consistently the league better watch out. Both defenses are leaky however but we will go with NGNG because they have the best player in the game in Khuram and their new additions have a lot of buzz around them.
Prediction NGNG 20-13
Matchup 2--Bandits vs Wolfpack
Two teams coming off of close and crushing losses. Bandits had the game in the books against Believers last week but couldnt close it out. The have some very good players in Sakib, Harvey, Burhan, Victor etc but need to learn how to close out games and not panic. That will come with stronger leadership. Wolfpack on the other hand came into the season with a huge buzz but lost QB Bubbles and this week starting their 3rd stringer after removing 2nd stringer QB Pillai. WR/Safety Vish Singh and WR/CB Niraj are studs but who will get them the ball? The drama continues.....We still pick Wolfpack to win because of their sturdy defense.
Prediction Wolfpack 19-13
Matchup 3--Slumdogs vs Empire
We finally get to two teams that actually won a game this past weekend. Both teams coming off of emotional wins will put their winning streaks on the line this week. Empire defeated a strong Stop N Go team with a last second TD from Dipan to Shazad. They will need to be on top of their game when QB Mike Chu, Joshil and the rest of the gang come to town. Slumdogs dispatched of Outlaws very easily last week but Empire poses a much stiffer test especially with their defense with Dipan, Aun, Atif etc holding serve. Slumdogs dropped some passes last week and they sure cant do that this week if they want to keep their win streak alive. Empire also get Chris Mui starting QB back and we got our money Empire comes away with the win this week.
Prediction Empire 25-14
Matchup 4--Stop N Go vs Believers
Ahh..how the mighty have fallen. Preseason favorites Stop N Go will need to fend off a pesky Believer squad if they want to avoid the infamy of being cellar dwellers. Everyone heard the story by now. Stop N Go raced to a quick 13-0 lead and lost 20-19 to Empire. 6 points the rest of the way after the quick start? QB Talha will be the first one to tell you he needs to step it up this week and moving forward to keep up with the elite teams. They seem like they need some more innovative plays in their playbook and maybe Farhan is working on that as we speak. Defense is solid especially the safeties in Usman and Kunal. Shumail. Naveed, Farhan, Suleman etc are all good players so they shouldnt be very worried. Believers on the other hand are coming off of a crazy comeback of their own. Hamza, Musaib, Razi got this team heading in the right direction. Fawad Khan is a receiver I have a feeling we will be talking about a lot. If they can pull out a win this week, it will go a long way to legitimize them as a powerhouse franchise.
Prediction Stop N Go 31-14
Matchup 5--Spartans vs Savages
We finally come to our Game Of The week. For in depth analysis scroll down under GOW. Two undefeated teams square off. The match up promises plenty of fireworks. There are future household names all over the gridiron-Big Z, Anwar, Irfan, Jose, Yash, Hashim etc etc. Bring ur cameras fellaz. You are going to need it to capture the many highlights.
Prediction 26-20 Savages.
