Pre Season Power Rankings

1. Stop N' Go--The early preseason favorites have a lot going for them. Most of the players grew up playing in pickup games, so the chemistry will definitely be there. The talent is vast as well with household names such as Ramy, Usman, Talha, Farhan etc. The speed and power combo of this team should be lethal.

2. Bellerose Wolfpack--A relative unknown bunch of scrappy players make up this team led by their loud and boisterous Captain Niraj Ghai. So far however the scouts have been impressed with the raw speed and length of such players as Niraj aka Ricky, Vish Singh and of course the super hyped qb Dilshad aka Bubbles aka Mike Vick Singh. This team will be in the hunt all year long and should have a very successful year 1.

3. The Savages-- The experience, talent, heart is deinitely there. Led by the Musliwala brothers, Irfan and Zulfikar The Savages have a team with a lot of experience that have played in other leagues for years. The reason they aren't any higher is because of uncertain and sometimes shoddy qb play as well as lack of speed throughout the squad.

4. Empire-- The wildcard team in season 1 for sure. Captain Shazad and Co-cap Atif has promised a star studded squad. Will they live up to that promise? Theres some speed in this lineup and a cannon for an arm in Chris Mui. However a lot of these players have never played with each other and didnt do much offseason scrimmages which might lead to chemistry problems on the field.

5. Spartans--This might be the fastest team overall in SAFL with youngsters such as Hashim, Jose, David, Sajeel, Adil and Moiz. Led by their captain and QB Anwar Sadat, The Spartans are all over the preseason action proclaiming they will win the first ever SAFL championship. Their core is strong but will supporting players like Yamin, Naqib, Faraz and esp Anish answer the bell when called upon?

6. Slumdogs--Fill this one out. I have no idea who these guys are.

7. Bandits--Led by Burhan Gorgani, this team is a family affair. Burhan brings his brothers Baktash and Farhan. Brother in law Zeeshan Talib straight from Texas and his Canadian Counterpart Nisar to form the core of the Bandits. They have added SASL star Harvey Harding Jr, only one of the fastest men to ever grace the SASL and second in this years running man competition. They are going to use their youth and speed to run circles around the other teams. Burhan will be manning the QB position for now.

8. The Believers--Young and upcoming players Hamza and Musaib is leading this team to hopefully a successful campaign. They have a lot of experience and vetran leadership in players such as Adam, Razi, Najmul and Najeeb. But everyteam needs some go-to players and who are those players that can make those clutch plays in crunchtime? It will be very interesting to see this team develop throughout the season thats for sure.

9. No Game No Gimicks--The squad looked terrifying on paper in the begining. Vegas wouldve had them as the early favorites if they wouldve been able to keep the core together. But players fell of one by one and the replacement players are nowhere near the talent we come to expect from a team led by Khuram and Salman. Rick Asif, Ridwan, Uzi etc do have some potential but who' their QB. Early scouting suggests they should change their name to "No Game" and stop there. prove em wrong fellaz.

10. Outlaws--A team filled with free agents and such. Led by Mohammed Azam and Ramin Rasuli they did manage to snag some potential good to great players in Vish Jain, Shakeeb, Jeremy etc But who's the qb? What is the starting defense? Can they play without even one practice under their belts? Too many questions to be any higher in the Power Rankings.
